About

This information has been developed by a group of Seattle Public Schools (SPS) parents across the city: from Rainier Beach to Lake City and Ballard to Beacon Hill. We formed through grassroots organizing in response to the limited information from SPS about October 2023 staffing changes and student shuffles. Many of us hadn't met before this effort.

Some of us are SPS alums, all are parents of future SPS alumswe all know what is at stake this year in the district. Our kids are in neighborhood schools and option schools, from elementary through high. We come from many backgrounds and even have different positions on some education issues.

But despite our differences, we are All Together united in our belief that SPS can better ensure our schools, educators, and students thrive by partnering with families and community members, communicating more transparently, and advocating for increased school funding.

 We seek to:

Increase the number of SPS families and community members who understand what SPS is currently planning, regardless of language spoken or experience with advocacy.

Help empower students and families to have their voices heard in major SPS decisions around upcoming budget cuts and advocacy for increasing state funding for schools.

Ensure that every student, regardless of their background or where they live, is attending a public school that has the funds and resources necessary to help them succeed.
